Dutch language courses in the Netherlands
Are you already living in the Netherlands? It’s never too late to learn the language! DUTCH APPROACH offers Dutch language courses online and in-class in Amsterdam, The Hague and Eindhoven!
We offer courses on multiple levels. Our in-class courses are ‘Beginner’, towards level A1 (CEFR*). Our online courses cover level 0 (‘Beginner’) up to B2 (‘Upper Intermediate’).
Teaching is in small groups of 4 to 6 (online) or 8 (in-class) students. Each course is 10 classes (1 class each week, 2 hours). Our classes are focused on Taiwanese nationals in the Netherlands. Our teachers all have lived in Taiwan and are familiar with culture and language, which provides them the understanding of particular difficulties for Mandarin speakers to learn the Dutch language.

Teaching method
In our ‘Beginner’ courses towards level A1 (CEFR*), we use the textbook Start.nl part 1. In our ‘Elementary’ courses (from A1 to A2) we use the textbook Start.nl part 2. This method is for people who want to learn Dutch quickly in a communicative and interactive way. The website and textbook are equally important, each chapter starts with ‘preparation’ on the website. After the preparation at the interactive website, students can put their new knowledge into practice in class. In every chapter there is also attention for Dutch culture.
In our ‘Intermediate’ courses (from A2 to B1) we use the textbook Nederlands in actie, in the ‘Upper Intermediate’ courses (from B1 to B2) the textbook Nederlands op niveau. Homework for all courses is approximately 2 to 3 hours a week (20 to 30 minutes per day). Classes are confirmed after the minimum number of students have paid the tuition fee**.
Our teachers are all Dutch natives, with in-class and online teaching experience. The teachers live or have lived in Taiwan and are familiar with culture and language, which provides them the understanding of particular difficulties for Mandarin speakers to learn the Dutch language.
*) Common European Framework of Reference for Languages / 歐洲語言共同參考框架
**) Refund of the tuition fee is determined according to DUTCH APPROACH’s refund policy.
