Study Dutch in Taiwan
Curious about the Dutch language? Are you planning to study at a Dutch or Belgian university? Is your employer sending you as an expat to the Flemish biotech industry or to the high-tech industry in the south of the Netherlands? Or will you get married to a Dutch or Belgian national?
DUTCH APPROACH provides Dutch language courses in Taipei, Hsinchu, Taichung, Tainan, Kaohsiung and online! Our courses are ‘Beginner’, ‘Proficiency’ and any level in between: CEFR* A1 to C2. For levels A1 and A2 we use the method Start.nl, for higher levels we use the textbooks Nederlands in actie/op niveau/naar perfectie. Teaching is in small groups of 4 to 6 (online) or 4 to 8 (in-class) students. Each course is 10 classes (1 class per week, each class 2 hours).

Online beginner courses
DUTCH APPROACH also offers online courses, so no matter where you live, you can join Dutch class with Taiwanese classmates. Teaching is in small groups of 4 to 6 students, each course is 10 classes (1 class per week, each class 2 hours). Our teachers are native Dutch, and also speak Chinese and/or English. Our teaching method
Our method Start.nl is for people who want to learn Dutch quickly in a communicative and interactive way. The website and textbook are equally important, each chapter starts with ‘preparation’ on the website. After the preparation on the interactive website, students can put their new knowledge into practice in class. In every chapter there is also attention for Dutch culture. Homework for the course is approximately 2 to 3 hours a week (20 to 30 minutes per day). Classes are confirmed after the minimum number of students have paid the tuition fee**.
Our teachers are all Dutch natives, with in-class and online teaching experience. The teachers live or have lived in Taiwan and are familiar with culture and language, which gives them the understanding of particular difficulties for Mandarin speakers to learn the Dutch language. The language of instruction is Chinese and/or English.
More advanced courses
